Collagen and elastin are the essential protein fibres in the skin that give it support and elasticity. As we age those fibres break down and lead to fine lines, wrinkles, sagging skin and large pores. Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), also known as Microneedling, is a way to address these concerns.

Skin needling is a natural skin rejuvenation treatment with no heat, no chemicals and no invasive injections. Each treatment takes approximately 45 minutes with a course of 3-6 treatments recommended for optimal results.

Immediately after treatment a feeling of tightness and a ‘sunburnt’ look is often experienced which will subside after 24 hours. Only the recommended aftercare product can be used on the skin for the first 3 days post-treatment. Heat including hot showers, saunas and sun exposure should be avoided for 3-5 days.

Skin needling can be safely performed on most skin types and is even suitable for sensitive or thin-skinned clients. It is not suitable for those who have cystic acne, open wounds or infections, psoriasis or dermatitis in the area to be treated, have uncontrolled diabetes, are pregnant, or who are prone to keloid scarring or other abnormal wound healing.
