Treatment Details
Our HIFU machine, the Renova, has been clinically tested and proven to safely tighten facial skin, reducing both superficial and deep wrinkles and repairing collagen and elastin fibres. The skin is lifted, looks remarkably younger, and has a noticeably healthier colour and glow.
During the treatment process CFU is transmitted through the epidermis and focused at desired locations within the skin. Treatment can be customized to meet the unique physical characteristics of each client up to a depth of 4.5mm, being the SMAS or muscular layer.
Our HIFU device is virtually pain-free with many clients commenting on the comfort of the treatment in contrast to other HIFU devices on the market which can be painful.
To achieve optimal results we recommend combining HIFU with RF Skin Tightening.
HIFU is not suitable for clients who have had dermal filler within 3 months prior to treatment. It is not suitable for clients with uncontrolled diabetes, who are on blood thinners, are undergoing chemotherapy, have lupis, arthritis, epilepsy or heart disease, have a pacemaker or are pregnant.

How long before I see results?
HIFU results improve gradually in the 6 months post-treatment.
How many sessions will I need?
We recommend starting with one session, then assessing the results at 6 months post-treatment. A second treatment may be required to optimise results.
Maintenance treatments are then recommended as needed, usually every 18 months – 2 years.
Is It painful
Our machine, the Renova, uses in-motion technology which is a more comfortable treatment experience. A slight prickling or aching sensation may be experienced but will subside when the treatment is finished.
What is the downtime?
HIFU is a non-invasive, non-surgical treatment and there is no downtime. You are able to apply makeup after treatment and resume normal activities.
Immediately after treatment there may be some slight redness or tenderness in the area which will subside in the hours following the procedure.
What “D” is your HIFU machine?
Our HIFU machine, the Renova, uses advanced in-motion technology as opposed to a cartridge system such as an “11D” or “21D” HIFU.
The cartridge system refers to the number of depth cartridges available, not necessarily the quality or effectiveness of the treatment itself. Having more depths available doesn’t make the device more superior as for facial treatments we are only physically able to use three effective depths: 1.5mm, 3mm, and 4.5mm. Anything deeper is for body treatments – using that or higher on the face would be dangerous as it penetrates too deeply.
In addition, the in-motion technology makes for a more comfortable treatment experience in comparison to a cartridge HIFU device.
